JOIN US ON AN UNFORGETTABLE JOURNEY TO EXPLORE THE NATURAL BEAUTY AND INTRIGUING HISTORY OF NORFOLK ISLAND

Day 1 – Sunday 30 March 2025

(Meals: D)

This morning you will need to make your own way to Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport’s International Terminal (T1). Your KTG Tours Host will meet you at the Boarding Gate ready for your Qantas flight to Norfolk Island which is currently scheduled to depart at 9:45am. You are required to check in at least 2 hours prior to your flight departure and will need your Photo Identification [such as Drivers Licence or Passport] for Check In.
On arrival at Norfolk Island, we are met by our local tour representative who will escort the group by coach to the South Pacific Resort, our accommodation for the next 7 nights. Set in 3.5 hectares of beautiful gardens, the resort is the largest and most conveniently located hotel on Norfolk Island – within walking distance to the town centre. The resort offers many facilities, including a café, bar, restaurant, large outdoor swimming pool, room service and guest lounge.
Enjoy a Welcome Drink on arrival at the resort then settle into your room.
This evening, we enjoy a delicious 2 course dinner at Governors Lodge.

Day 2 – Monday 31 March 2025

(Meals: BD)

Enjoy breakfast at the resort before being picked up by our expert local tour company who has over 35 years’ experience on Norfolk Island and will guide us in our discovery of the island’s rich history and spectacular scenery.
This morning we will be introduced to the island on a ‘half day exploration’. We visit historic Kingston, Cascade, Longridge and more, learning about Norfolk Island’s government, laws and of course their unique lifestyle. We also see the renowned Melanesian Chapel and visit the grounds of an old island home.
We then return to the resort where you will have time to get some lunch. There are many lunch options available for you including the resort’s onsite café, the RSL Club Bistro which is across the road or one of the many cafés or restaurants in town.
This evening, we get to know our fellow travellers while enjoying some Meet & Greet nibbles, drinks and entertainment. This is then followed by a delicious BBQ Buffet Dinner at the resort.
Later this evening we are treated to a spectacular ‘Sound & Light Show’. Nightfall at Kingston brings a different mood to the convict settlement. The stillness and the stars are there just as they were before mankind arrived in 1788. However, with dramatic use of real life sounds together with theatrical lighting and costumed actors, the stillness is broken as we are taken through the horrifying decades of Norfolk Island’s convict era.

Day 3 Tuesday 1 April 2025

(Meals: BD)

After breakfast this morning, we learn more about the island’s history on a ‘Convict Settlement Tour’. Take an in-depth look at the World Heritage Listed Georgian settlement of Kingston. Walk through the cemetery and learn of the interesting history of the convict and colonial headstones and hear stories of the houses along Quality Row. Walk through the ruins of the New Gaol, see the Pier Store, Boat Shed and the Crank Mill.
Enjoy some down time this afternoon before our evening’s activities.
Early this evening we are picked up for our delicious ‘Island Fish Fry’ dinner. Enjoy a feast of local dishes, salads and homemade coconut bread, alongside mouth-watering fried fish of course. Our feast overlooks breathtaking coastal scenery as the sun sets – with live music in the background.

Day 4 Wednesday 2 April 2025

(Meals: BD)

This morning we take a ‘Green Fingers’ tour to see some of the most stunning gardens on Norfolk Island including the Island’s only maze. You will also see some rare and endangered plants and hear how the different settlements of the past have influenced the gardens of today.
This afternoon you have the opportunity to book on an optional extra Glass Bottom Boat tour and see the second most southern coral lagoon in the world.
Tonight, we enjoy a memorable 3 course meal progressing to 3 different island homes for each course. Be taken to carefully selected island homes where you will hear Norfolk stories from your dinner hosts. The ‘Progressive Dinner’ is a fun night and a great way to meet the Island People.

Day 5 Thursday 3 April 2025

(Meals: BD)

This morning we visit the Pitcairn Settlers Village to learn about the colourful history of Norfolk Island’s most recent settlement – The Pitcairners and their descendants, on one of the last few remaining original settler’s properties.
Experience the history and culture of Pitcairn Settlers. View the magnificent homestead gardens, including many of the traditional crops. See Norfolk’s first tour coach, a model A Ford. View a film, visit a blacksmith’s forge, the original homestead, a WWII Army hut and Museum of Memorabilia.
This afternoon we learn even more about the fascinating early Pitcairn history, Norf’k language, weaving & wetls – a traditional food tasting. The culture is a curious tale of English Pirates & Polynesian Princesses. A quirky melding of two cultures which fashioned a new and very unique way of life.
Enjoy a sumptuous 2 course dinner at the resort tonight.
Then, later this evening we witness ‘Wonderland By Night’. This tour celebrates the stories of life gone by on Norfolk Island and how the past has shaped its identity. The setting is 10 acres of magical Norfolk Pines, which are lit up like a magical enchanted forest. Meander along (or ride in the ‘moon buggy’) through a gentle winding path with a descendant of the Bounty Mutineers, as they
recite poems and light up the dioramas. Enjoy a cuppa at the end of the bush, before being transferred back to our accommodation.

Day 6 Friday 4 April 2025

(Meals: BD)

To get a real insight into the lifestyle on Norfolk Island, you need to meet the people and see the industries in action. On the ‘Over The Cattlestops’ tour, we visit a few of the locally owned businesses that make up Norfolk’s industries. We will also enjoy morning tea at a beautiful scenic location.
Enjoy some down time this afternoon before this evening’s exciting event.
Tonight, you are in for a truly memorable experience with a fun night out for all ages! Dress as a convict and join with the Commandant for an evening of gaiety, feasting and singing. Enjoy great food and fun and see why a ‘Night as a Convict’ is the most popular feature dinner on Norfolk. Your comfortable and oh so attractive outfit is provided for the night. Should you wish to keep it as a souvenir you can purchase the one you are wearing or pay a little extra and opt for a brand new one instead. Prices provided during the tour.

 Day 7 Saturday 5 April 2025

(Meals: BD)

This morning, those that are walking are picked up bright and early at 7am from the resort. We forgo our usual breakfast and instead will be treated to a morning ‘Bush Walk and Clifftop BBQ Breakfast’. Take your choice of a short stroll through One Hundred Acres Reserve, or for the more fit and energetic, a leisurely 3.5km walk through scenic Mt Bates to Captain Cook Monument. At the end of both walks we meet on the clifftop for a delicious breakfast along with any non-walkers who will be picked up from the resort at 8:15am.
This afternoon we visit Cyclorama, an impressive 360O panoramic painting that tells the story of Fletcher’s Mutiny and the events that followed.
This evening we are treated to a ‘Ghost Tour & Dinner’. Enjoy dinner held in a beautiful, historic Georgian Building followed by a lantern walk through the Kingston Ruins and hear some interesting stories from our ghostly guide.
